E: GameCon PH Will Get You on Track

One of the questions that Ms Elaine of Redwizard Events and GameCon PH was “Are there events on February?” and last year, we answered with “not enough.” A little while after GameCon 2017 ended, they announced their next event to be on February 10-11 2018.

GameCon PH 2018

If we could describe our experience with the first GameCon in one word it would be: Interactive. There were a good amount of booths that let us try innovations like virtual reality, augmented reality, wire loop game, 3D printing, graphics tablet and games of all kinds. From PC games, arcade, mobile, tabletop to card games, the family was complete! Onstage, we got to watch games made by indie companies, partners and students be graded. With the help of the Game Developers Association of the Philippines (GDAP) and International Game Developers Association (IGDA), they are having workshops once again!

Tickets can be bought at all SM ticket outlets or online. P160 for one day pass or P270 for the two-day pass.

GameCon PH Workshops

Gamecon PH Highlights

This will be edited with updates after the presscon but for now, we can anticipate you with a few hints from their website and social media (FB and TW):

Competitions for games like Magic the Gathering, Final Fantasy, Tadhana RPG! The exciting RoboRumble where creative battle robots try to destroy one another!!! Gamers can have more than one hobby so they’ll also have a Cosplay Competition. Mentioned earlier was the Launchpad where GDAP and IGDA (maybe even CIIT and CSB) will be taking a look at indie games.

For more updates, follow GameCon PH on their website, Facebook and Twitter or this page!

Looking forward to a more challenging wire loop game.
